WHAT AND WHERE IS HEAVEN?

Does heaven exist? With well over 100,000 plus recorded and described spiritual experiences collected over 15 years, to base the answer on, science can now categorically say yes. Furthermore, you can see the evidence for free on the website allaboutheaven.org.

VISIONS AND HALLUCINATIONS

This book, which covers Visions and hallucinations, explains what causes them and summarises how many hallucinations have been caused by each event or activity. It also provides specific help with questions people have asked us, such as ‘Is my medication giving me hallucinations?’.

Some science behind the scenes

Tryptamine

Tryptamine is an alkaloid found in plants [where it acts as a natural pesticide], fungi, and in trace amounts in the brains of mammals. It is chemically related to the amino acid tryptophan, from which its name is derived.

Tryptamine acts as a non-selective serotonin receptor agonist and serotonin-norepinephrine-dopamine releasing agent (SNDRA), with a preference for evoking serotonin and dopamine release over norepinephrine release.  As a consequence a whole host of legal and illegal drugs have sprung up that are based on this, not a few of which have caused deaths, such as

  • 4-Acetoxy-DET (4-Acetoxy-N,N-diethyltryptamine, also known as ethacetin, ethylacybin or 4-AcO-DET)
  • 4-Acetoxy-DiPT (4-acetoxy-N,N-diisopropyltryptamine) also known as Ipracetin, is a synthetic tryptamine.
  • 4-HO-DET, also known as 4-hydroxy-diethyl-tryptamine, CZ-74, or ethocin, is a substituted tryptamine, structurally related to psilocin and 4-HO-DIPT.
  • 4-Hydroxy-di-isopropyl-tryptamine (4-HO-DiPT) is a synthetic and close structural analogue of psilocin and classified as a tryptamine derivative.
  • 4-HO-MiPT  - is also known as Miprocin. First synthesized by Alexander Shulgin, it is said that “a dosage of 12-25 mgs, lasts 5-8 hours and may produce vivid and intense closed-eye imagery, time and spatial distortion, and out-of-body experiences”.
  • 5-MeO-AMT or 5-methoxy-α-methyltryptamine, α,O-Dimethylserotonin(Alpha-O) is a potent synthetic tryptamine  soluble in alcohol.  This drug has caused a number of deaths
  • 5-MeO-DALT or N,N-diallyl-5-methoxytryptamine is a synthetic tryptamine
  • 5-MeO-DET  - or 5-methoxy-N,N-diethyltryptamine is a synthetic tryptamine
  • 5-MeO-DMT - (5-methoxy-N,N-dimethyltryptamine) is a naturally occurring tryptamine. It is found in a wide variety of plant species, and a single psychoactive toad species
  • 5-MeO-DPT (also known as 5-methoxy-N,N-Dipropyltryptamine), full chemical name N-[2-(5-methoxy-1H-indol-3-yl)ethyl]-N-propylpropan-1-amine  is classified as a tryptamine derivative.
  • ‘Foxy methoxy’ - 5-methoxy-diisopropyltryptamine, also known as 5-methoxy-N,N-diisopropyltryptamine, 5-MeO-DiPT, or just foxy, is a synthetic tryptamine “ Many users note an unpleasant body load accompanies higher dosages” [sic].
  • 5-MeO-MiPT is a synthetic similar to 5-MeO-DiPT, and MiPT, commonly referred to as "Moxy" or "Moxie".  The full name of the chemical is 5-methoxy-N-methyl-N-isopropyltryptamine.
  • DALT - N,N-Diallyltryptamine (DALT) is a synthetic tryptamine
  • DET -  also known under its chemical name N,N-diethyltryptamine and as T-9 is a synthetic tryptamine
  • DiPT or diisopropyltryptamine, is a synthetic tryptamine family that tends to produce aural hallucinations.  It has led to psychosis.
  • DPT - Dipropyltryptamine is a synthetic tryptamine, first reported in 1973.
  • MiPT -  N-Methyl-N-isopropyltryptamine is a synthetic tryptamine
  • αET and αMT - are serotonin, norepinephrine, and dopamine releasing agents and non-selective serotonin receptor agonists which were formerly used as antidepressants. They have since been discontinued and are now encountered solely as recreational drugs.  Alpha-ethyltryptamine was developed as an antidepressant by Upjohn chemical company in the United States under the name "Monase" but was withdrawn from potential commercial use due to an “unacceptable incidence of agranulocytosis” - severe and dangerous lowered white blood cell count. αET is now being sold as a ‘designer drug’.
  • Methyltryptamine (αMT),  was used as an antidepressant called Indopan until it was realised that ‘psychedelic effects’ were being experienced that lasted as long as 12 hours.  It was discontinued.  However, in the 1990s αMT resurfaced as a drug of recreational use via the internet, leading to its placement as a schedule I controlled substances. It has continued to be encountered as a drug of abuse.
  • Other α-Alkyltryptamines -- include  5-Cl-αMT, 5-Fl-αMT, 5-MeO-αET, 5-MeO-αMT, α-Me-5-HT
