Background

A description of the experience

Soul Retrieval –  Dr Alberto Villoldo

The third tier of the Upper world is the Animal spirit world, where the spirits of ancient creatures roam.  The domain is populated by the spirits of the elk, the eagle, the raven, the salmon and the jaguar; but it’s also where you’ll find the spirits of all extinct species, such as the sabre toothed tiger, the mastodon and the prehistoric whale.  Just as you can journey to the second tier to receive the gifts of the spirits of the plants, you can do the same here in the animal spirit world.

Even though it’s a more elevated level, this plane is not ‘home’ for human beings.  Individuals aren’t differentiated from each other, and there’s nothing but a complete absorption with nature.
