I remember when I was about 8 or 9, actually feeling myself floating about 4 feet in the air around the room, very slowly, looking down on my brothers and sisters and parents as they watched tv in the living room. I was always in fear growing up, my mother was a very abusive parent.
Years later I was in the hospital being prepped for surgery and having an IV inserted. I knew how much it was going to hurt and was petrified, I willed myself to 'go away' and, did. I was looking down at my body and the procedure and immediately was back and aware as soon as it was done. The nurse told me she had never had such an easy IV to put in.
A few years after that, I was raped by my husband. I left my body again and was watching from above.
I've never had anything since and had nearly forgotten about these until tonight. They didn't scare me, I remember how peaceful and comforting it felt.
I haven't told anyone about this because I thought they'd think I was crazy.
