A crazy one in Tariqat is rare.
Friends, his presence will not be apparent.
Unless we lovers become sweet scented ourselves,
However filthy the place, he will not be soiled.

The flower of Shariat is bravery,
Sweet fruit is the food of Tariqat,
Whoever becomes the servant of servants is Haqiqat,
Even swallowing Mount Kaf will not turn him arrogant.

Lovers speak of the signs.
Devotees took to searching for them,
The devout ones never give up their search,
Then witnessing what they find, cannot speak about it.

Too many words and the soul is not at rest,
Too empty within and still the soul is not at rest,
How often people pray without results,
For shallow prayers merely fall on deaf ears.

While body and tongue continue to deny.
While ‘dying without dying' is not realised,
The external eye will not close,
The internal eye will not illuminate the heart.

It is not easy without work to achieve a result,
How can a jar of sand make a sound?
While you remain frustrated on the path, you remain sad,
Until the dry firewood burns, it cannot become charcoal.'

Servant Hoja Ahmed, burn strongly,
Inside and out, ripen into fullness,
Share what you know with all friends,
Otherwise your wisdom will change nothing.
