A couple of months before she died, my grandmother told me, on my return from work one day, that Greta had visited her that afternoon and that she had wanted to go with her but Greta had told her that she couldn't because 'it wasn't the right time'.
On the night she died, my grandmother was struggling to breath. All at once her eyes opened wide, she smiled (more than smiled really-her whole face lit up) and, put her arms up as though greeting someone. From then onwards she was a lot calmer and died about 15 minutes later.
I was sure at the time that Greta had come back and that the time was now right for my Grandmother to go off with her.
