One teen had an NDE during sodium pentothal anesthesia for wisdom teeth extraction. Although the dentist didn't tell him that anything unusual had occurred, he was unconscious for five hours.
He thought that what happened was normal when a person has sodium pentothal and was very disappointed when he had it several years later and did not repeat the experience. After he read Raymond Moody's first book, he realized that he had probably received an overdose of the medication.
In his experience, he went down a tunnel toward a bright light.
There were other beings of light around, but he didn't recognize any of them. He felt himself in the presence of God while he went through the life review "like turning the pages of a book."
Although he had dreaded the experience, he felt total acceptance of himself as he went through it. He did not specifically feel how his words and actions affected the other people he had been relating with. He was then told to go back "to love," and the experience was over.
