One woman who was plagued by gaps in her memory surrounding the car accident that resulted in a two-month comatose episode told me of her experience with hypnosis several months after the accident. Under hypnosis, she was able to remember the entire accident, including the people who stopped along the highway and pulled her from the car. When she discussed the details with her parents, who had arrived shortly after she was taken to the hospital, they confirmed the details of what she had remembered. While remembering the accident, she also remembered her NDE, in which she watched her own body being removed from the car and then found herself in a heavenly realm. Her remembrance of that event was very important in her recovery process.
