In years past, when my work often required me to go with little sleep I had numerous instances of hallucinations. This was a problem when I would start getting less than 5 hours a night, or going more than 36 hours without sleep. Visuals seemed less common for me, but plenty of auditory ones including music, voices etc. The most interesting one, I was briefing my replacement for the oncoming shift, and fell asleep, reawakened to detachedly observing myself talking. I don't know what I said to him, but the other fellow didn't notice anything odd in me
