A few cases give indications of inaccuracy in the representation of the environment conveyed to the subject; for example, a subject who had been in the habit of hovering above his bed for some time, finally succeeded in rising through the roof of his house and saw a chimney stack which, on inspection the next day, he found was not there.
It should be noted that inaccuracies of this kind, in common with other perceptual distortions, appear to be more commonly associated with experimental or voluntarily induced experiences than with single spontaneously occurring experiences
