A description of the experience
The Wisdom of Near-Death Experiences – Dr Penny Sartori
A nurse told me of a patient that she had resuscitated while working as a nurse in Africa.
When the man revived he heaved a big sigh of relief. I asked him if he was ok and he told me that he’d been in a strange place and was surrounded by taxis. There were taxis of all different colours but there was a red taxi amongst them. People were trying to force him into the red taxi. He didn't want to go into the red one, as to him red symbolized danger. He wanted to go in another colour taxi.
Eventually he was pushed into the red taxi. Inside the car was all red and he was being taken to a place that was all red. He was struggling to get out of the car. When he came round, to him, he felt that people had pushed him out of the red taxi. When he revived there was a big sigh of relief then, 'What was that? I was in a red car! Oh . . . oh . . .I was really in a red car. I really fought hard to get out of that car.'
It brought back memories of my own experience but I didn't tell him about it, I just said that some people have these kinds of experiences.
