Obtaining spiritual experience - the subconscious

The table below with all its links, describes all the activities that can be used to deal with the subconscious mind in order to obtain a spiritual experience.  The video provides an overview of what we are trying to achieve.

 

 

You can overload [O] these parts of the mind so that the functions give up, or by deliberately doing things which serve to suppress [S] the activity.  Suppress does not mean repression -  it means to produce calm, peace, and positive feelings.  Only deliberate activities are shown here – actions.  There are other activities [events] that may accidentally achieve the same thing. 

Combinations may be needed.  Thus every person can choose a set of actions suited to them.  The more desirous and egotistical the harder you may need to be with yourself.  The soft, gentle, timid, young and unsure should NEVER use overload [but see also note 6].

Note 1 - there is an argument that the letting go that is involved in true faith, the relinquishing of control to a higher power than yourself and the transcendent feeling it produces is exceptionally positive in producing an experience.
